Eirin Yagokoro is a genius pharmacist from the moon, but left to live in exile on the moon. Due to her medical background, stories and comics usually show her as committing experiments and surgeries on yukkuris in order to observe and change their behavior. For example, in one story she captures and takes care of yukkuris, before killing them with electricity to observe their reactions. However, perhaps the most infamous example of Eirin's yukkuri studies is Smart Reimu.
Eirin Yagokoro helps with exterminating a yukkuri infestation.
